Speaking on the occasion, he praised the efforts of traders and market associations across Braj for organizing various service activities for devotees.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that throughout the Braj Chaurasi Kos region, local traders and business organizations have been actively participating in pilgrim welfare initiatives by arranging food, drinking water, refreshments, and other assistance for visitors.<\/p>\n<h2>Warm Welcome for Visiting Devotees<\/h2>\n<p>Mahesh Gupta, President of the Holy Gate\u2013Kotwali Road Business Committee, said the distribution of sweets and curd was intended as a gesture of hospitality towards devotees arriving in Mathura during Adhik Maas.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, local traders wanted to ensure that pilgrims feel welcomed and cared for while undertaking their spiritual journey in Braj.<\/p>\n<p>He also announced that similar service activities would continue throughout the Adhik Maas period, with different programmes being planned to assist devotees and parikrama pilgrims.<\/p>\n<h2>Adhik Maas Sees Surge in Pilgrim Arrivals<\/h2>\n<p>Adhik Maas, also known as Purushottam Maas, is considered highly auspicious in Hindu tradition. During this period, Mathura, Vrindavan, Govardhan, Barsana, and other sacred destinations across Braj witness a significant increase in pilgrim footfall.<\/p>\n<p>Many devotees undertake religious rituals, temple visits, and parikrama routes, making community-led service initiatives an important part of the pilgrimage experience.<\/p>\n<h2>Prominent Members Present<\/h2>\n<p>The event was attended by several office-bearers and members of the trading community, including Shashibhanu Garg, Sunil Sahni, Jagdish Gupta, Gurmukh Das, Shri Bhagwan Chaturvedi, Vikas Jindal, Mukesh Agrawal, Sunil Bansal, Manoj Agrawal, Deepak Yadav, Manoj Khatri, Pankaj Agrawal, Deepak Soni, and Ras Bihari Agrawal.<\/p>\n<h2>The MathuraNow View<\/h2>\n<p>Adhik Maas is not only a time of devotion but also a reflection of Braj&#8217;s long-standing culture of hospitality and service.
