Guest House Operators Seek Single-Window System to Resolve Compliance Issues in Mathura
Mathura, July 7: Representatives of guest house operators, under the leadership of the Nagar Udyog Vyapar Pratinidhi Mandal, met City Magistrate Anupam Mishra to discuss the difficulties faced by small guest houses following recent administrative sealing actions in different parts of the city.
The delegation urged the administration to introduce a single-window system for completing departmental formalities and requested a joint meeting involving all concerned government departments to help resolve compliance-related issues.
Trade Body Raises Operational Concerns
The delegation, led by City President Sunil Agrawal, informed the City Magistrate that many small guest house operators are facing practical difficulties in obtaining approvals and complying with requirements from multiple departments. According to the traders’ body, repeated visits to different offices have created operational challenges for small businesses.
They also stated that recent administrative action has affected the livelihood of several guest house owners and employees dependent on the hospitality sector.
Proposal for Joint Meeting
The traders’ association proposed organising a comprehensive meeting with all guest house and hotel operators in the city. They requested the participation of officials from the Fire Department, Tourism Department, Mathura-Vrindavan Development Authority (MVDA) and other administrative departments.
The objective of the meeting would be to clarify regulatory requirements, address operational concerns and provide guidance for completing necessary formalities through a coordinated mechanism.
Administration Agrees in Principle
According to the traders’ association, City Magistrate Anupam Mishra agreed in principle with the proposal and assured the delegation that a joint meeting could be organised with the participation of the concerned departments. The association has been asked to coordinate with guest house and hotel operators for the proposed interaction.
Trade Body Expects Early Resolution
General Secretary Shashibhanu Garg said that a large meeting would be organised shortly to bring together hotel and guest house operators with officials from the concerned departments. He expressed hope that the initiative would help resolve long-pending procedural issues and support thousands of people directly and indirectly associated with the hospitality sector.
The delegation included Sunil Agrawal, Shashibhanu Garg, Gurmukh Das, Chaudhary Rajveer Singh, Shribhagwan Chaturvedi, Vijayveer Singh, Krishna Gopal Sharma, Balveer Singh, Sudhir Tomar, Devi Singh, Omkar Gautam, Kishan Chand Sharma, Pawan Sharma, Bhagwan Singh and other representatives.
