Giants Group Revives Childhood Memories with Kite Festival
Mathura 23 June 2026: Ahead of Ganga Dussehra, the Giants Group of Mathura organized a colorful kite festival at Jawahar Bagh, bringing together members, families and children for a day filled with traditional fun, music and cultural activities. Held under the leadership of President Pradeep Faujdar, the event celebrated the spirit of togetherness while encouraging participants to reconnect with childhood memories through the timeless tradition of kite flying.
The festival was organized around the theme “Udaan Seva Ki Pehchaan Giants Ki”, reflecting the group’s commitment to community bonding through meaningful social and cultural initiatives. As classic Hindi songs including “Chali Chali Re Patang Meri Chali Re” played on the sound system, participants enthusiastically flew colorful kites across the open skies of Jawahar Bagh.
The atmosphere became even more exciting during friendly kite-flying contests. Umesh Agrawal cut the kite of Rajiv Goyal, while Ashok Mittal defeated Manohar Gangwani in another contest. Gaursharan Agrawal also successfully cut the kite flown by Sunil Verma. Cheers of “Woh Kaata” echoed across the venue, adding to the festive mood and reviving the traditional excitement associated with kite flying.
The cultural segment added further energy to the celebrations. Charan Dayal Agrawal entertained attendees by singing the popular Hindi song “Aaj Mausam Bada Beimaan Hai”, drawing applause from the gathering. Women members also participated enthusiastically, with Beena Garg and Chhaya Agrawal presenting Rajasthani folk songs and the melodious “Dil Ki Patang Dekho Udi-Udi Jaye”, creating a lively and family-friendly atmosphere.
Program Convener Dr. Ashok Agrawal appreciated the vision of President Pradeep Faujdar for conceptualizing an event that blended recreation with community engagement. He noted that the participation of children made the celebration even more meaningful and contributed significantly to its success.
Addressing the gathering, President Pradeep Faujdar expressed gratitude to program coordinators Dinesh Agrawal, Akshay Khandelwal, Harish Agrawal and all Giants members for their collective efforts. He said that embracing new enthusiasm and moving forward with fresh aspirations doubles the joy of life, while such community events strengthen relationships among members and families.
The celebration concluded with a traditional refreshment menu that included jalebi, kachori, idli, sandwiches, poha, sprouted gram and moong, buttermilk, Fruity and tea. The informal gathering allowed members to interact and celebrate the festive season in a relaxed environment.
