Mathura, June 6: A brief standoff occurred on Kotwali Road in Mathura on Friday after traders raised objections to the manner in which a municipal enforcement team participated in a plastic-related inspection drive. The situation was later brought under control following discussions between traders, police officials, and senior municipal authorities.
According to local traders, a joint inspection related to plastic-use regulations was conducted at a disposable products shop located on Kotwali Road. During the operation, traders alleged that members of the municipal enforcement team entered the premises in large numbers and began checking goods, leading to concern among nearby shopkeepers.
