MathuraNow uses AI tools, including Google’s Gemini, to help draft articles from source material, and Google Translate to produce the Hindi (/hi/) edition of English articles.
Human Oversight
An AI-assisted article cannot be published until a person confirms they have read and verified it, and the site records who published it and when. Editors can correct wording and Hindi translation errors directly in our editorial tool, and a separate review step records who reviewed the Hindi version of an article and when. Editorial responsibility for every published article rests with MathuraNow’s editorial team, not with the AI tools used to help produce it.
Accuracy
AI-generated drafts and machine-translated text are not treated as verified fact on their own; source material and factual claims are checked by an editor before publication.
AI Fact-Check Score
Our AI News Publisher tool can show an AI-generated fact-check score next to a draft. This score is only an aid. It is not a verdict, and an editor checks the facts before anything is published.
Rashifal
The daily Rashifal is first drafted by AI from the day’s verified Panchang. The assigned author then reviews it, edits it if needed and publishes it; nothing is published automatically. Images
Some illustrations on MathuraNow are created with AI tools. Images that are AI-generated are labeled “AI-generated illustration” in the caption under the picture. Images without that label are not marked as AI-generated; where we know the source of a photograph, it is credited.
Hindi Edition
The Hindi (/hi/) edition is machine-translated. We review it progressively through our Hindi Review Panel, where an editor can correct the translation and the review is recorded. Hindi pages that have not yet been reviewed may contain translation errors; the English article is the original.
“Ask AI” Chat
The “Ask AI” chat that appears on some pages is a tool provided by Microsoft. Its answers are produced by Microsoft’s AI, are not MathuraNow journalism, and are not written or checked by our editors. Please see our Privacy Policy for how chat messages are handled.

We disclose our use of AI tools here because we believe readers deserve to know how our journalism is produced. This policy is reviewed periodically as our editorial process evolves.
