Mathura Women Lead Refreshment Service for Devotees During Adhik Maas

Mathura’s Women Power Sets an Example Through Adhik Maas Refreshment Service

Mathura (MathuraNow.in): Demonstrating the true spirit of service, compassion, and devotion, the Women’s Wing of Akhil Bharatiya Agrawal Mahasabha (Regd.) (ABAMS), Mathura organized a large-scale Sharbat Distribution and Drinking Water Service during the sacred month of Adhik Maas. The initiative provided much-needed relief to thousands of pilgrims and laborers enduring the summer heat while also highlighting the remarkable contribution of women in community welfare.

The service camp was organized on June 5 outside Shri Narasimha Bagichi, located opposite Bhuteshwar Temple, under the leadership of Divisional District President Mrs. Vandana Agrawal. Throughout the event, devotees undertaking the Adhik Maas pilgrimage, saints, travelers, and members of the working community were offered chilled sharbat and clean drinking water.

Adhik Maas is considered one of the most auspicious periods in the Hindu calendar, especially dedicated to charity, devotion, and selfless service. Keeping this spirit alive, the women volunteers personally managed the distribution arrangements and served visitors continuously for several hours despite the intense summer temperatures.

The event witnessed the active participation of Mrs. Minakshi Agrawal, State President of the Women’s Wing (Uttar Pradesh), Divisional District President Mrs. Vandana Agrawal, Divisional District General Secretary Dr. Rashmi Agrawal, along with Mrs. Manisha Agrawal, Mrs. Meera Agrawal, Mrs. Pallavi Agrawal, Mrs. Kishori Agrawal, Mrs. Preeti Agrawal, Mrs. Shalini Agrawal, and several other women members.

The service drive began at 3:00 PM and continued uninterrupted until 6:30 PM. During this period, thousands of devotees and travelers benefited from the initiative. Many pilgrims expressed their gratitude, describing the service as a welcome relief amid the scorching weather and a meaningful example of social responsibility.

Members of the Women’s Wing stated that Adhik Maas is not only a time for worship and spiritual practices but also an opportunity to engage in acts of charity and public service. Helping pilgrims and those in need brings a sense of inner satisfaction and fulfills the true essence of religious observance.

The successful organization of the event was made possible through the leadership and coordination of Mrs. Minakshi Agrawal, Mrs. Vandana Agrawal, and Dr. Rashmi Agrawal, whose efforts ensured smooth arrangements for visitors throughout the afternoon.

The initiative once again demonstrated that Mathura’s women are playing a vital role in strengthening social harmony and community service. By combining faith with compassion, the volunteers transformed a simple refreshment camp into a meaningful act of devotion and public welfare.

As thousands of pilgrims continue to visit the holy city during Adhik Maas, such service-oriented initiatives reflect the living traditions of Braj, where spirituality and humanity go hand in hand. The event stood as a powerful reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a significant difference in the lives of others.
