How the Rashifal is prepared

How our daily Rashifal is made and checked.

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Every day MathuraNow publishes a short Rashifal for each of the twelve Moon signs. This page explains, in plain words, how it is made, who checks it and what it is not.

What the Rashifal is

It is a general daily reading for each Moon sign (rashi). It is the same for everyone born under that sign. It is not a personal birth-chart prediction: it does not use your date, time or place of birth, and nobody can tell your day from it.

Where the Moon sign comes from

The Moon’s sign for the day comes from that day’s Panchang, which is compiled and entered by a named MathuraNow author. If the Moon changes sign during the day, the author enters that too, with the time.

How each rashi is worked out

We use the traditional Chandra-gochar rule, the transit of the Moon. For each rashi we count which house the Moon’s sign is from that rashi. Each house has a traditional reading (favourable, mixed, or calling for some caution) and life areas it relates to, such as self, finances and family, work, partnership, travel or rest. This counting is done by simple, fixed code from the Panchang. It is not a guess and it is not done by AI.

What the AI does

An AI tool drafts the wording from that calculation, and from nothing else. It is given the Moon sign, the house, the reading and the life areas, together with the day’s tithi, nakshatra, yoga and weekday, and it writes two or three plain sentences for each rashi. It is not allowed to state or invent planetary positions, aspects or retrograde movements, to give percentages, scores or lucky numbers, or to sound certain. Our code then checks every text against those rules, and a draft that breaks them is thrown away. Yesterday’s texts are passed to it so that the wording does not repeat. The Hindi version is a machine translation of the checked English.

Who reviews and publishes it

A named MathuraNow author reads the draft, edits it if needed and publishes it. Nothing is ever published automatically. If it has not been reviewed and published in time, no Rashifal is shown that day. The author’s name and photo appear under the Rashifal, together with the words “AI-assisted”.

What it is not

The Rashifal is for faith and entertainment. It is not a certain prediction and not scientific fact. Please do not base health, money, legal or other important decisions on it.
