Farmer Organization Bolstered in Mathura with New Leadership Appointments

Mathura, August 27, 2026: A significant transition within the regional agricultural leadership took place on Wednesday at the metropolitan office of the Bharatiya Kisan Kranti Union, located at Holi Gate intersection in Mathura. The event marked the formal induction of new members into the organization, as several prominent figures transitioned from their previous roles to join the union.

Laxman Choudhary, who served as the national chief general secretary of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Sunil), and Udaybhan Singh, formerly the Uttar Pradesh chief general secretary, officially resigned from their previous organization to join the Bharatiya Kisan Kranti Union. They were accompanied by a large group of supporters who also joined the ranks of the new organization.

The induction was facilitated by national spokesperson Pawan Chaturvedi, Uttar Pradesh in-charge Manik Sharma, and Mathura District President Bhagwan Das Tomar, acting under the authorization of National President Advocate Rishi Mishra. Following their entry into the organization, Laxman Choudhary was appointed as the national general secretary, while Udaybhan Singh was named the general secretary for Uttar Pradesh.

The ceremony was attended by several organization leaders, including women’s wing district president Sapna Thakur, metropolitan president Bharat Agarwal, senior farmer leader Prayagnath Chaturvedi, Vrindavan city president Vinod Rajput, and party worker Bhura Suryavanshi.

Speaking on the shift in leadership, Pawan Chaturvedi and Manik Sharma expressed confidence that the arrival of these experienced leaders would strengthen the organization not only within the Mathura district but throughout the entire state. They noted that the new office-bearers would travel to various districts to focus on expanding the union’s reach and encouraging more farmers to join the cause.

In their address, the newly appointed officials, Laxman Choudhary and Udaybhan Singh, committed to fulfilling their new responsibilities with complete dedication. They emphasized that the organization would work to champion the interests of farmers, the poor, and laborers across the state. They further stated that they intend to disseminate the organization’s policies and the vision of the national president to the grassroots level. Additionally, they announced plans for a significant protest in Mathura to address issues concerning the welfare of farmers.

The induction program also included the appointment of several other members to key positions. Bhagwan Das Tomar appointed Ajay Kumar Monu and Nishant Kumar as district general secretaries, while Kripal Rathore was named district secretary. All new appointees received their official letters of appointment during the event.

Other individuals who joined the organization included Mukesh Choudhary, Shivshankar Sharma, Dr. Shyamveer Choudhary, Parshottam Tomar, Vishnu Tomar, Deepak Nishad, and Arjun Nishad.
