Satya Prakash Sharma Appointed as Receiver for Ladli Ji Temple in Barsana

Barsana, September 4, 2026: In a significant administrative development concerning the management of the revered Ladli Ji Temple in Barsana, the court of the Additional Civil Judge Senior Division-II, Mathura, has issued a formal order appointing Satya Prakash Sharma, son of Rameshwar Sharma, as the new receiver. This decision follows a rigorous selection process conducted by the judiciary to ensure the efficient oversight and management of temple operations, which have been subject to ongoing legal proceedings.

The position of receiver attracted considerable interest, with a total of 24 individuals submitting formal applications for the role. According to official reports, the court conducted a thorough review of these submissions, emphasizing the need for both qualifications and suitability for the sensitive and historic nature of the temple’s daily administration. Among the notable individuals who had filed applications were Bijendra Kumar Goswami, Rupchand Sharma, Dhruvesh Goswami, Kishori Shyam Goswami, Goswami Aditya, Rasbihari Goswami, Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Sushil Goswami, Pawan Kumar, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Gauri Shankar, Shri Madhav Krishna Goswami, Kamal Sharma, Indra Kherati alias Indra Pratap Singh, Mahesh Goswami, Balram Goswami, and Rahul Goswami. The court noted that 17 of these applications were rejected due to incomplete documentation provided by the candidates.

Following the initial screening, the court accepted seven applications for further consideration. On Wednesday, these shortlisted candidates were invited for a formal interview process. The presiding judge evaluated each applicant based on their professional capabilities, administrative competence, and their perceived suitability to maintain the sanctity and operational order of the temple complex. The court’s decision to appoint Satya Prakash Sharma marks a turning point in the management of the temple’s affairs, which have been a subject of judicial attention for some time.

The judicial order effectively concludes the tenure of the previous acting receiver, Sushil Goswami, whose responsibilities were terminated with immediate effect upon the issuance of the new directive.
