Shrikant Sharma was born on 1 July 1970 in Gatholi village, located on Govardhan Road in Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh. Raised in a rural environment, he completed his early education in Mathura before moving to Delhi for higher studies.

Political Journey
Shrikant Sharma began his political journey through organizational activities and later became associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party. In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, he was elected as the MLA from the Mathura Assembly constituency. He retained the seat in the 2022 Assembly election, securing a second consecutive term in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

From 2017 to 2022, Shrikant Sharma served as the Cabinet Minister for Energy in the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
