Three Die In Electrocution Accident During Boring Operation In Shergarh Village
Three people, including two workers, died after their boring machine hit an 11,000-volt power line in Siyara village, Shergarh, on Thursday.

Shergarh, Mathura. September 18, 2026: A tragic accident occurred in Siyara village under the Shergarh police station, Chaata area on Thursday, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. The incident took place when a boring machine, which was being operated for a submersible pump installation, came into direct contact with an 11,000-volt high-tension electrical line passing overhead. The resulting surge of electricity caused an immediate and fatal accident, leading to a scene of intense grief and chaos within the local community.
The victims have been identified as three men present at the site during the operation. According to witness accounts from local residents, the homeowner, identified as Mohan Singh, had commissioned the boring work to be done on his property. Two workers, identified as Sultan and Mohan, both from Gangreli, were actively operating the machinery at the time. Mohan Singh was standing in close proximity to the equipment when the incident occurred. As the machinery was being maneuvered, it inadvertently touched the high-voltage overhead power line, which allowed a massive current to pass through the metal frame of the boring rig.

The impact of the electrical discharge was instantaneous. The three men, caught in the path of the current, suffered severe burns and succumbed to their injuries on the spot.
