Agra/Firozabad: A heartbreaking incident occurred on Sunday at an entertainment venue located at Phase-2 Chowpati in Agra’s Tajganj area, where the 16-year-old son of a bangle businessman from Firozabad lost his life during a zip lining ride.

The tragic accident reportedly happened during a 120-foot-long and 45-foot-high zip lining activity when the pulley lock, considered an important safety component, suddenly failed during the ride.

The incident shattered the happy family within moments. Witnessing their son fall in front of their eyes, the parents screamed in shock and reportedly became unconscious.

Chaos spread throughout the amusement area immediately after the accident. The seriously injured teenager was rushed to Sarojini Naidu Medical College, where doctors declared him dead.

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot, took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem examination. Authorities also immediately stopped the operation of the zip line ride and detained the operator and manager present at the location for questioning.

Police have initiated a detailed investigation into the matter.

The incident has raised serious concerns regarding safety standards and arrangements by the company operating the adventure ride.

How the Incident Happened

According to eyewitnesses and police officials, Firozabad bangle businessman Pankaj Agrawal had come to Agra with his family for an outing.

During the visit, his 16-year-old son Kunal Agrawal insisted on experiencing the zip line ride. His parents agreed and helped him board the ride, unaware that it would become his final wish.

Only a few meters after the ride began, the pulley lock reportedly malfunctioned, causing the teenager to fall directly onto the concrete floor from a height of approximately 45 feet.

He sustained severe injuries to the head and other parts of the body and reportedly died on the way to the hospital.

Video Goes Viral on Social Media

The entire incident was captured on mobile phones by people present at the venue. The video has now gone viral across social media platforms, drawing widespread reactions and anger over alleged negligence and inadequate safety measures.
