Message of Unity for the Brahmin Community as Lord Parashuram Receives Grand 51-Kg Panchamrit Abhishek

Mathura: A grand religious ceremony dedicated to Lord Parashuram was organized at the Parashuram Temple near the old water tank (Tooti Tanki) in Govind Nagar, Mathura. The event was conducted under the aegis of the Sarvodayi Brahmin Vikas Sansthan, Mathura, which has been organizing worship ceremonies for various Hindu deities during the recently concluded Purushottam Maas.

The special programme witnessed the participation of hundreds of members of the Brahmin community who gathered to offer prayers and seek blessings from Lord Parashuram, revered as the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu and a symbol of righteousness, courage, and dharma.

51-Kg Panchamrit Abhishek Performed

The highlight of the ceremony was a grand 51-kilogram Panchamrit Abhishek of Lord Parashuram. The sacred ritual was performed with milk, curd, honey, boora (sugar powder), clarified butter (ghee), and fragrant perfumes while Vedic mantras were chanted by priests and devotees.

Following the abhishek, the deity was adorned with new ceremonial attire, and devotees offered garlands and floral tributes as a mark of reverence.

Warm Welcome for Devotees

During the programme, community member Pappu Gautam welcomed the attending Brahmins by presenting traditional stoles (patkas), creating an atmosphere of respect and fraternity among participants.

The temple premises echoed with devotional chants and prayers as devotees joined together in worship and community bonding.

Call for Unity and Preservation of Sanatan Culture

Addressing the gathering, Sohanlal Sharma, President of the Sarvodayi Brahmin Vikas Sansthan, emphasized the importance of unity within society and active participation in religious traditions.

He urged members of the Brahmin community to involve their families in religious and cultural programmes, stating that collective participation is essential for preserving Sanatan Dharma and India’s rich Hindu cultural heritage.

“If we wish to keep Sanatan Dharma and Hindu culture alive for future generations, we must remain connected to our traditions and participate in religious activities together as families and as a community,” he said.

101 Lamps Lit for the Well-Being of the Nation

As part of the programme, devotees collectively lit 101 sacred lamps and offered prayers for the long life, prosperity, and well-being of all citizens of the country.

The symbolic lighting ceremony added a spiritual dimension to the event and reflected the participants’ prayers for peace and harmony in society.

Hundreds of Devotees Attend

The event was attended by a large number of devotees and community representatives.

Among those present were Rakesh Gaur, Pankaj Sharma, Mahendra Dutt Acharya, Diwakar Acharya, Surendra Mukut Wale, Narayan Prasad Sharma, Pappu Gautam, Mukut Mani Sharma, and hundreds of members of the Brahmin community.
