Mathura DM Directs Faster Disposal of Revenue Cases and Daily Family ID Progress Reviews

Mathura: District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh chaired a comprehensive review meeting on revenue administration, revenue litigation, tax and non-tax collections, IGRS grievance disposal and other administrative matters on Monday. During the meeting, officials were instructed to accelerate the disposal of pending revenue cases, strengthen grievance redressal and improve the implementation of key government welfare programmes.

Priority Given to Disposal of Long-Pending Revenue Cases

The District Magistrate directed all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and judicial officers to work in close coordination with advocates to ensure the speedy disposal of revenue disputes. He instructed officials that no old revenue case should remain pending unnecessarily and emphasized the need to clear cases pending for more than five years.

Officials were also directed to ensure timely disposal of matters related to Sections 80, 24, 116 and 34 and to regularly monitor the progress of cases being heard in their respective courts.

Daily Monitoring of Family ID Generation

Reviewing the progress of the Family ID programme, the District Magistrate instructed all SDMs to conduct daily review meetings and work towards generating approximately 1,000 Family IDs every day. He stressed that continuous monitoring would help achieve the district’s targets within the prescribed timeline.

Regular Inspection of Gaushalas Ordered

All SDMs, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and Block Development Officers were instructed to carry out regular inspections of gaushalas across the district. The District Magistrate directed officials to ensure proper maintenance, adequate facilities and special attention to cleanliness in all cattle shelters.

Complete Pension Verification Without Delay

The District Magistrate instructed officials to complete verification of beneficiaries under various social welfare schemes, including Divyang Pension, Old Age Pension and Destitute Women Pension, on a priority basis.

He also directed departments to make necessary preparations for organising marriages under the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme in the coming days.

Quality Disposal of IGRS Complaints Emphasised

Calling the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) one of the government’s highest priorities, the District Magistrate instructed officers to personally examine complaints referred by the Chief Minister’s Office, the Principal Secretary and the Divisional Commissioner.

He stressed that grievance reports should be submitted within the prescribed timelines and that complaints must be resolved fairly, transparently and with a focus on citizen satisfaction.

“The satisfaction of complainants is of utmost importance. Every complaint should be resolved in a timely, impartial and quality-oriented manner,” the District Magistrate said during the meeting.

Senior Officials Attend Review Meeting

The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate (Finance & Revenue) Dr. Pankaj Kumar Verma, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Amresh Kumar, Additional District Magistrate (Judicial) Ved Priya Arya, SDMs of Sadar, Govardhan, Chhata, Mahavan and Mant, along with all Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars of the district.
