Mathura Police Arrest Murder Suspect in Naujheel
Mathura police have arrested a 35-year-old man in Naujheel in connection with a murder case, seizing an illegal firearm and a motorcycle.

Naujheel, September 25, 2026: Mathura police have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with a murder investigation, officials said on September 24, 2026. The suspect, identified as Satendra Kumar, a resident of Mudliya, was taken into custody by a team from the Naujheel police station following an operation in the local area.
Details of the Operation
According to the official report released by the Naujheel police, the arrest occurred at approximately 09:24 AM on September 24, 2026. The police team intercepted the suspect on a dirt path leading from the Mudliya-Bajna road near a tubewell owned by a person named Ramcharan. Authorities recovered several items from the individual during the arrest, which are being presented as evidence in the ongoing murder case. These items include a grey Hero HF Deluxe motorcycle—noted as having no number plate—and the weapon allegedly used in the crime. The recovered weapon is identified as an illegal .315 bore firearm, along with one live .315 bore cartridge and one empty .315 bore shell casing.

Criminal History and Legal Action
Officials confirmed that Satendra Kumar, son of Jahan Singh, faces charges in connection with a current murder investigation registered under case number 292/26 at the Naujheel police station, specifically under sections 103(1) and 351(3) of the BNS. In addition to the current charge, police records indicate that the accused has a prior criminal history. This includes a previously registered case, number 96/11, involving sections 147, 307, 308, and 323 of the Indian Penal Code at the same police station. Following the arrest, the suspect was processed according to legal procedures at the Naujheel station.
Police Personnel Involved
The successful operation was conducted by a dedicated police team led by Naujheel Station House Officer (SHO) Ajish Kumar Singh. Other members of the arresting team included Sub-Inspector Madan Singh, who serves as the in-charge of the Kaulahar police outpost, and Sub-Inspector Rupchand, the in-charge of the Bajna town police outpost. The team was further supported by constables Puneet Kumar (badge number 350) and Deepak Chaudhary (badge number 1583). The police have maintained that the investigation remains active as they prepare the evidence for the court.
