600 Saplings Distributed in Raipur Under ‘Plant Trees, Save Environment’ Campaign

Raipur: In a significant step towards environmental conservation, around 600 shade-giving and fruit-bearing saplings were distributed under the “Plant Trees, Save Environment” campaign at the Shri Hanuman Temple premises located in Oxyzone Garden on June 13, 2026.

The plantation awareness initiative was organized jointly by the District Unit of Akhil Bharatiya Agrawal Sammelan, Raipur Welfare Foundation Society, and Green Army.

The programme commenced after the recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa, following which devotees and residents were encouraged to participate in environmental protection efforts by planting trees in their homes, neighborhoods, and public spaces.

Community Participation for a Greener Future

The sapling distribution drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of social organizations, environmental volunteers, and local residents.

Organizers distributed nearly 600 saplings, including shade-giving and fruit-bearing varieties, with the objective of increasing green cover and spreading awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.

The event was attended by several prominent members of the Akhil Bharatiya Agrawal Sammelan.
