Mathura: In a significant step towards promoting self-employment and skill development, a 15-day free training programme has been launched in Mathura under the Uttar Pradesh Government’s Skill Improvement Training Scheme. The programme is being organised by the Divisional Village Industries Training Centre, Ading (Mathura) and aims to equip young men and women with practical vocational skills that can help them start their own businesses and become financially independent.

The initiative offers professional training in Beauty Parlour Services and Tailoring, along with several additional benefits including stipend support, training materials, refreshments, and guidance from certified trainers and banking professionals.

Training Courses Available

The programme will provide free training in the following trades:

  • Tailoring Training: 25 candidates from the General Category and 25 candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category will be selected.
  • Beauty Parlour Training: 25 candidates from the General Category and 25 candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category will receive professional training.

The duration of both training programmes will be 15 days.

  • Applicants should belong to rural areas or eligible Nagar Panchayats with a population below the prescribed limit.
  • Applicants should possess a ration card and a functional bank account.
  • Basic literacy is required.

Final selection will be carried out through a transparent score-based evaluation process.
