Mathura, June 18, 2026: The Mathura-Vrindavan Municipal Corporation (MVMC) organized its weekly Sambhav Diwas Public Grievance Hearing at the Bhuteshwar Headquarters, where citizens raised civic issues related to encroachment, sanitation, street lighting, sewerage and public infrastructure.

During the hearing, a total of 10 complaints were received from residents. Municipal officials resolved two complaints immediately, while directions were issued for the timely disposal of the remaining cases.

Municipal Commissioner Reviews Public Complaints

The grievance hearing was chaired by Municipal Commissioner Jag Pravesh and Additional Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Singh. Heads of various municipal departments were also present to address citizen concerns and review pending civic issues.

Residents approached officials with complaints related to:

  • Encroachment on public land
  • Street light maintenance
  • Replacement of damaged electrical cables on poles
  • Sanitation and cleanliness issues
  • Sewer line problems
  • Handpump re-boring requests
  • Installation of new handpumps
  • Civic construction-related matters

Two Complaints Resolved Immediately

According to municipal officials, two complaints were resolved during the hearing itself through immediate administrative intervention.

The remaining complaints have been forwarded to the concerned departments for action within the prescribed timeline.

Officials stated that citizen grievances requiring technical inspection or field verification will be processed on priority.

Bhuteshwar Zone Records Highest Number of Complaints

All ten complaints registered during the public hearing were received from the Bhuteshwar Zone, reflecting the area’s active participation in the civic grievance redressal process.

Municipal authorities reviewed each complaint individually and sought status updates from the concerned departments.

Commissioner Directs Time-Bound Disposal

Municipal Commissioner Jag Pravesh instructed officials to ensure that pending complaints are resolved within the stipulated timeframe.

He emphasized that public grievances related to essential civic services such as sanitation, street lighting, drinking water and sewer management should receive priority attention.

“All departments must ensure that pending complaints are addressed within the prescribed time limit and citizens receive timely solutions to their problems,” officials stated during the hearing.
