Sonal Shah Offers Prayers at Goverdhan’s Mukharvind Temple

Sonal Shah, wife of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, visited Goverdhan on Sunday to offer prayers at the historic Mukharvind Temple in Jatipura. During her visit, she performed a special Dugdhabhishek (milk offering) to Lord Giriraj Maharaj and prayed for the prosperity of the nation and the state.

Tight security arrangements were in place across the temple complex and surrounding areas to manage the high-profile visit. Upon her arrival at the Jatipura temple, Sonal Shah was received with traditional Vedic chants by temple priests and local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders.

Senior BJP leader and former minister Shrikant Sharma was also present at the site. He welcomed Sonal Shah and coordinated with the temple administration to ensure the rituals were conducted smoothly. Following the prayers, temple sevayats honored her by presenting her with temple prasad and a ceremonial angavastra.

Local administrative officials, police forces, and BJP workers were present in large numbers throughout the proceedings. The visit highlights the family’s long-standing connection to the Braj region, with the Shah family known to make periodic pilgrimages to Mathura, Vrindavan, and Goverdhan to seek blessings.
