Firozabad Police Officer Returns Lost Mobile and Gold Coin to Local Resident

Firozabad, September 5, 2026: In an exemplary display of integrity and professional duty, a head constable attached to the Firozabad police force successfully returned a lost mobile phone and a valuable gold coin to its rightful owner. The sequence of events began on the morning of September 5, 2026, when Shri Triloki Nath Swarnkar, a resident of Nai Basti near the Jain Temple in the Thana Dakshin area, was travelling by motorcycle. According to reports, Shri Swarnkar was en route to a local Shiva temple for worship at approximately 10:30 a.m. During his commute, his Vivo-branded mobile phone, which he had been carrying in his pocket, accidentally slipped out and fell onto the roadway. Crucially, the protective cover of the mobile phone also contained a 10-gram gold coin, which was lost along with the device.

Head Constable 409, Rakesh Kumar, who was on duty and patrolling under the Thana Uttar jurisdiction, discovered the misplaced mobile phone while on his route. Recognizing the value of the item, the officer took immediate steps to secure it. Demonstrating a high level of professional integrity, Constable Kumar initiated efforts to identify the owner of the device. Through his investigative actions, he was able to confirm the identity of the rightful owner, Shri Triloki Nath Swarnkar, son of Shri Premchand Verma, and subsequently invited him to the police station to claim his property.

Upon arriving at the Thana Uttar police station, the items were verified and returned to Shri Swarnkar. The transfer was overseen by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Thana Uttar, Shri Ravi Tyagi, alongside Head Constable Rakesh Kumar.
