Mathura Sweet Sellers Association Holds District-Level Meet on FSSAI Compliance

Mathura, September 11, 2026: Sweet merchants, dairy operators, and snack producers from across the Mathura district convened for a pivotal meeting at the Mukunda Resort to address the evolving regulatory landscape and business challenges in the confectionery sector. Organized by the Mathura Sweet Sellers Association (Mithai Vikreta Association), the event served as a platform for direct engagement between local entrepreneurs and representatives from government departments, including the food safety, labor, and weights and measures wings.

Aligning with Food Safety Standards

The meeting was formally chaired by District President Mukesh Gupta, with participation from key industry figures, including the chairman of Raman Sweets (Raman Mithai Wale). A primary focus of the discussion was the strict implementation of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) guidelines. Rajkumar Bhagat, Chairman of the Chamber of Food Processing Industries Association and the Agra Sweet Sellers Association, addressed the assembly to highlight the importance of operational awareness. He urged participants to focus on the technical aspects of their production, specifically regarding the quality of water used in food preparation and the adoption of modern packaging technologies that effectively extend the shelf life of traditional Indian sweets.
