Mathura Food Safety Raid: 500 Kg Paneer, 2,000 Kg Milk Destroyed

Mathura: The Food Safety and Drug Administration Department has carried out a major raid at a paneer-making unit in Hussaini village of Shergarh, Mathura, following information about suspected adulteration. Officials destroyed 500 kg of paneer and 2,000 kg of milk found at the unit, according to the report supplied to MathuraNow.

Food Safety Team Raids Paneer Unit in Shergarh
The action was taken after Assistant Commissioner Food Dr Jatin Kumar Singh received confidential information about suspected adulterated paneer being manufactured in Hussaini village under Chhata tehsil.
A mobile food-safety team conducted the inspection on Monday under the leadership of Chief Food Safety Officer K.K. Tripathi.
The team inspected a paneer manufacturing unit operated by Sonu Kumar in the village.

500 Kg Paneer and 2,000 Kg Milk Destroyed
During the inspection, officials found a large quantity of dairy products and ingredients at the manufacturing unit.
According to the supplied report, the team destroyed approximately 500 kg of paneer and 2,000 kg of milk. The combined value of the material was estimated at around ₹2.25 lakh.
The destruction was carried out as part of the food-safety action following the inspection.
Officials Find Chemicals and Other Ingredients
The inspection team reportedly found skimmed milk powder, 80 kg of refined soybean oil and soybean at the unit.
