Mathura, October 12, 2026: The Ramlila Sabha organized a dramatic performance of the Kop Bhawan Leela at the Shri Krishna Janmasthan Leela Manch. The play depicted the atmosphere in Ayodhya, where preparations for the coronation of Shri Ram were underway under the guidance of Sage Vashistha. When the maid Manthara learned of the event, she approached Queen Kaikeyi and misled her, suggesting she demand that King Dasharatha crown Bharata instead and send Ram into a 14-year forest exile.

Kaikeyi subsequently retired to the Kop Bhawan. Despite the King’s repeated attempts to dissuade her, Kaikeyi remained adamant, reminding him of two boons promised during the Devasura Sangram. Faced with the queen’s resolve, a distraught King Dasharatha was forced to grant the requests. When Ram inquired about his father’s distress, he was informed of the situation and immediately prepared to depart for the forest to uphold the command of his parents.

Sita expressed her resolve to accompany Ram to the forest to serve him, despite his warnings regarding the harsh conditions of wilderness life. Similarly, Lakshman insisted on joining them, becoming emotionally overwhelmed until he was finally permitted to join his brother. The performance concluded as Ram, having donned the attire of an ascetic, offered his respects to his parents before setting out.

The production featured contributions from Niti Nideshak Gopeshwar Nath Chaturvedi, Shringar Mantri Surendra Khauna, as well as Sanjay Bijli, Nitin Sharma, Vishnu Sharma, Pt. Amit Bhardwaj, Anand Sharma, Ramesh Sharma Kisso, Umesh Bijli, Shubham Kumar, Ram Gopal Sharma, and Kanhaiya Type. Prasad seva was provided by Dinesh Kumar Vipul Gota Wale.

On October 13, the Shri Ram Vanvas procession was scheduled to depart from Shri Krishna Janmasthan at 4:00 PM toward Swami Ghat for the Sumant Vidai Leela, followed by the Kevat Samvad Leela at Vishram Ghat. The evening programme included the Dasharatha Maran and Bharata Aagaman Leela, scheduled for 7:00 PM at the Janmasthan Leela Manch.
